Week by Week Follow-up Chart of Pregnancy


During pregnancy, your baby is developing day by day and your body is keeping up with this change. You can examine what is happening in your body week by week by reviewing our pregnancy follow-up chart. Pregnancy is counted as 40 weeks from the first day of the mother's last menstrual period.

2nd Week of Pregnancy

You are in the ovulation period and if the egg and sperm meet, you will start the adventure of pregnancy.

3rd Week of Pregnancy

Pregnancy has occurred and your baby is in the form of a small ball of rapidly multiplying cells called a blastocyst.

4th Week of Pregnancy

Your baby is an embryo consisting of two layers. Your primitive placenta is starting to develop. You probably won't be feeling any symptoms at this stage.

5th Week of Pregnancy

Your baby's nervous system begins to develop and the foundations of major organs begin to form. The development of the embryo, which reaches 2 mm in length, continues and blood circulation begins. The first signs of pregnancy may appear during this period.

6th Week of Pregnancy

A lump develops at the end of the neural tube as the basis for swelling of the heart and brain and head development. In this period, the embryo has a curved and tailed appearance. Arms and legs begin to appear as small buds.

7th Week of Pregnancy

The embryo has reached 10 mm in length and the brain, eyes and ears continue to develop. Cartilage begins to form and nerve cells multiply. The uterus is the size of a lemon. During this period, you may experience symptoms such as pain in the breasts and frequent urination.

8th Week of Pregnancy

At this stage, your baby is called a fetus. Their legs continue to develop and the structures that allow the placenta to attach to the uterine wall develop. You may be urinating more often than usual and feeling tired.

9th Week of Pregnancy

During the 9th week of pregnancy, your baby's face continues to develop slowly. His mouth, tongue, hands, internal organs and feet continue to develop. Your baby has reached a length of 22 mm. It is normal to experience sudden mood swings during this period.

10th Week of Pregnancy

In this process, your baby's ears begin to develop and jaw bones develop. Heart development is complete and your baby may make small movements that can be seen on ultrasound.

11th Week of Pregnancy

Your baby continues to grow rapidly and facial bones are forming, fingers are forming, nails are forming. After 11 weeks, dual screening test can be applied.

12th Week of Pregnancy

By the 12th week, the fetus is fully developed and organs, muscles, limbs and bones are formed. In this process, you may experience bloating, gas and constipation complaints due to the enlargement of the uterus.

13th Week of Pregnancy

During this period, your baby weighs about 25 grams and his genitals are formed. Morning sickness usually subsides during this time.

14th Week of Pregnancy

Your baby is about 85mm long and his kidneys are starting to work!

15th Week of Pregnancy

You are at 15 weeks and your baby can now hear sounds. He can detect bright lights even with his eyes closed.

16th Week of Pregnancy

At 16 weeks, your baby may involuntarily move his facial muscles. Nervous system development continues and their hands can touch each other.

17th Week of Pregnancy

At the 17th week of pregnancy, your baby's eyebrows and eyelashes begin to develop. Its weight is approximately 150 grams.

18th Week of Pregnancy

At 18 weeks, your baby begins to move imperceptibly.

19th Week of Pregnancy
