The Assisted Hatching Method is applied when the Embryo cannot reach the Uterine Wall.
One of the most common problems in infertility treatments is the inability to achieve pregnancy even though embryo development is achieved by performing fertilization.
After the necessary procedures are applied, problems may occur during the placement of the Embryo into the uterus. In normal cases, the embryo, which continues its growth and division at the mentioned stage, reaches the depths of the Endometrium tissue by tearing the “Zona Pellucida” membrane when it reaches a certain height and continues to grow again. The problem in question is experienced when this period of the Embryo does not occur.
The problem of inability of the embryo to settle on the uterine wall is more common in patients with advanced age, a history of unsuccessful attempts, and a thick zona pellucida membrane.
The Assisted Hatching method is applied to facilitate the Embryo's access to the Uterine Wall. In method applications, the result is obtained by making a hole in the membrane around the Embryo. For this, Mechanical and Chemical methods are used before the transfer stage.
